    Judo in Shanghai

Post by banpreso on Sat Nov 30, 2013 3:39 pm

Hi, I'm working in Shanghai currently and I'm looking for a place to practice. I've found this placed called Ryushinkan online and it seems pretty legit. The problem is I can't find their meeting time and place (there are conflicting information) and when I showed up nobody is there. My emails to them went unanswered. It should be a pretty sizable school.

Maybe this is a really long shot, but does anyone knows anyone in Shanghai who goes to this dojo and can make an introduction for me? Or just let me know where and when they meet?

    Many thanks!

i finally got to go check it out. too baf they are not taking on new people at the time =(

something stood out to me was during practice, everyone was really quiet and not many people are talking. that's not like anything I've seen before.

Perhaps not entirely to the point but on the old JF, there were some interesting posts by Joe Svinth about the history of judo in Shanghai. A pity these seem lost.
