The interesting part of this documentary is towards the end. The uchi-mata shows that Geesink clearly did have technique, unlike what some might claim. However, that being said during contest he sometimes relied less on that technique, and his uchi-mata often was far less technical, instead with his force pulling really pulling the opponent on his swiping leg, sometimes even after his leg was still way up and the opponent still standing.

Also interesting is that it shows that the final movement with which he got Kaminaga to the ground in the 1964 Olympic final wasn't improvisation or out of the blue, has he clearly had practised it and shows it in this recording.

"Nothing is as approved as mediocrity, the majority has established it and it fixes it fangs on whatever gets beyond it either way." (Blaise Pascal)
"Quand on essaie, c'est difficile. Quand on n'essaie pas, c'est impossible" (Guess Who ?)
"I am never wrong. Once I thought I was, and that was a mistake."
