There's usually a koryū session and this year it is Takenouchi ryū jūjutsu taught by Takeuchi Tojiro soke, 15th soke of the school. Wow.
His family has taught this style since 1532, almost entirely within the same family. An amazing tradition and a wonderful art.
Takenouchi ryū is a comprehensive martial art (sogo bujutsu) that teaches from unarmed grappling to polearms (spear, naginata).
The seminar is only ¥5400 for the three days. A great deal subsidized by the Japanese govt. Superb teachers from a number of modern arts. The jūdō has the plus of the international Budō University team coming to play, too.
