    Tucson, Arizona?

Post by GregW on Thu Jun 11, 2015 10:11 am

I have three students whose family is moving to Tucson in July. They are looking for a recreational judo club in the area. The boys are USJA members, but the USJA web page is being reworked. You can't look anything up. Can anyone recommend a club in Tucson?

Our family went to Tucson for Springbreak this year and I was fortunate to find the 'Tucson Judo Dojo' for my son to train the week prior to Scholastics with Sensei Steve Owen - he and his club were fantastic hosts...  Very welcoming, considerate and accomodating club.  Great training drills and kids class - lots of talented and well-qualified black-belt instructors (personal attention) and rising kids coming out of this club...  Highly recommended...

    Steve. Definitely.

Oh, East is East and West is West, and never the twain shall meet,

But there is neither East nor West, Border, nor Breed, nor Birth,
When two strong men stand face to face, though they come from the ends of the earth!

LOL I'm late, but yes, Steve Owen is the judo guy here. The club moved last year to its new location, I've been there once.
