    Russian Judoka failed doping tests

    Leading Russian judokas failed a doping test for Meldonium. Another Olympic sport, which has come Maloney scandal, became judo.

    Notice of anti-doping rule violation has got four of the leading national athletes, three of whom are the best in their weight classes and was preparing for the Olympics, says «All sport». Positive tests for Meldonium passed Natalia Kondratyev (weight category up to 48 kg), Ekaterina Valkova (to 63 kg), Mikhail pulyaev (66 kg) and Denis Yartsev (73 kg).

    Clarifies that all four deny the application contains Meldonium of the drug in the period when he was already banned.

    The Federation of judo of Russia this information has not yet commented.

    There has been recently tens of failures for Meldonium in Russia, some of them apparently also Judoka

    I know a Russian who was on a national team. The pressure to win was excessive. It is not surprising these athletes turn to performance enhancing substances.
    Too many judoka, in many countries, forget what judo is about in their drive to be successful in competition.
