    Thank you for that video.
    The technique shown might be more effective if tori lifts uke in an upward direction prior to dropping under uke. Kuzushi, it seems to me, is initially in a upwards direction in many sutemi waza.
    Just a thought.

    NBK, It's more "tight," that is, you have more control and leverage versus the traditional way of doing it, imo.
