    Info about Kodokan kangeiko
    http://kodokanjudoinstitute.org/en/news/2017/01/2017-kan-geiko-mid-winter-training-has-started/

It is held for the purpose of disciplining mind and body through training sessions in the coldest hours in the coldest season. It has been held for over 130 years since the early days of the Kodokan.

Do you practice Kangeiko? Does your dojo have this event?

    Real Kangeiko 寒稽古 (cold practice)

""Kan geiko" (Winter training) is early-morning practice performed during the winter season, for the purpose fostering mental toughness.
Rising early to practice in bitterly cold conditions is extremely unpleasant. Overcoming this unpleasantness instills a mental toughness that enables practitioners to overcome other difficult situations as well."

    THis is a nice one:

Unfortunately in this part of the world we haven't got a winter, but having had the chance to practice in the KDK when it was a cooler part of the year, I think i can understand a little about how bitter it can be. For one, the mats were definitely harder!
