Just had an email telling me Danny Da Costa passed away this morning.
He posted on the other site as "shinjido".
My condolences to his family and all who knew him.

My apologies for double post. Must have posted it same time as John

I am still trying to remember exactly who this was on the forum, but in any case I am very saddened to hear about more loss of human life. First, Ryan Birch, now another dedicated judoka ...

I note the last entry on Dany's blog dating from February 15:

"Health and Time to Say Goodby

    February 15, 2013

My health the liver has given up which should mean that I have little time left. I thank all those that have wished me well , especially those that have attended my seminars. There will be lots to share for Judo, Aikido and Self Defence. In recent months Shinjido has seemed magical. In spite of being so physically week I have dropped people without effort. I call this “Letting it happen” rather than making it happen. The Shinjido School will grade Aikido under Shihan G Jones but will continue with exploring my work.
    " (...)

My condolences to Danny's family and loved ones.

I remember "shinjido" posting on the other forum. I'm sorry to hear about his passing. My condolences to his friends, family, and students abroad.

Sincere condolances to his family. I enjoyed having a class with him,

I wanted to download "SHINJIDO - Evolution and Innovation " but I can't find it. Does anyone have a link.

Sad to hear of Danny passing.
My thoughts are with his family.
We trained together in the Torquay club 1971/2 and I have fond memories of the hard work and fun we had. Always a positive attitude and sense of humour.

    RIP

My condolences to his family and Friends. He'll be missed.

Never had the pleasure of training with him, or meeting him, but from
What I saw in his Dvd, he's a fantastic coach and instructor.
